Hey bloggers today I am going to be showing you what we did on the fifteenth of September, so on this day we have to go and create a copy of a doc named the four operations revision task. After this we had to solve it, so on it are four riddles to do with maths, they are all very easy because they are very easy maths related, it was so fun, definitely.

Hi bloggers this week for reading it might be our last week of Novel Studies, so this week for novel studies we are to read the whole rest of the book, not sure if that makes sense? Anyway so first we had to read the whole book, it took a while. Soon after that I went into the first task. Anyway I will now show you my tasks.
The learn bit!
So first we had to go and do the learn bit, first we had to write a plot, I think the plot is the interesting bit and a bit of the twists, I think that is correct. So we could write the plot on the slides which was easier, so I chose to write on the slides. After writing the plot we had to write all the characters names down, I wrote it down underneath the plot. After that we had to write the themes, the conflict and the resolution.

Create bit time.
So for the create bit we had to make a book review, so for this review, we had to make the plot again but longer and then we had to do more. After writing down the second plot we had to write the opinion and then the characters and then the recommendation. I had very fun doing this and I hope you like the task!

Hey bloggers this week for reading we will be continuing novel studies, the Walt is Understand how the main idea affects the characters and the story line , anyway if you have read my recent blogs you will know the book I am doing Novel Studies on. So if you don’t know I am doing the book called the boy at the back of the class. So let’s get into the tasks I have been doing.
The learn create task bit
So for the learn task we had to write the main idea of the chapter we read last week, the main idea of the chapter was the three plans and what happened in them, so it was pretty easy writing down, I wrote it in a very short paragraph (👈 Definitely) Anyway had heaps of fun doing it, probably because it was very easy to do and to write down, but still enjoyed it, and still had fun doing it! Oh! Also it was about the plan it said Alexa was going to make, it said that there was no way any judge could say no to it, it even says the highest judge in the land won’t even say no to it!
So the second part of the learning bit was that we have to go and write the main idea to affect the characters and the story line. So the main idea is that Ahmet can be back with his Mum and Dad, and that the border gates don’t close. So I think that the Main idea of the book affects the characters by giving them hope that the new kid or new friend can be back with his Mum and Dad. They also don’t like what has happened to Ahmet’s family, so they feel very sad about what has happened. I really enjoyed this task and had fun writing the things in but also enjoyed that the Learn bit had a lot involved with the Walt. Thought that was really cool!
The Create bit
So for the create bit we had to go onto word cloud, so word cloud is an app that you can chose a shape and put it into the blank spot, the shape will generate and then you can chose some words and use these words and put them inside the shape. It’s very cool and Fun. So for this task we first have to get a shape and then choose ten things to describe the narrator and then put those inside the shape. So for my task I chose an Alligator for the shape and then got on to the task bit. So when choosing the ten things to describe Alexa we didn’t just have to write the word, you had to also write why. So when getting the descriptive words you can change the size and colour of the words, which I find cool! You can also make your own shape to put the words in!
So I enjoyed this task and had fun doing it, I mainly enjoyed finding the descriptive words to use on the shape for the narrator and writing them in. I thought it wasn’t as easy as the learning bit but still very fun. I think I found the bit where we had to find the descriptive words the hardest because I didn’t know much words I could use to describe the narrator but still managed it in the end!

First task!
So for the first task I had to go onto pixton, I was pretty excited for this at the start because I hadn’t used Pixton since I was a year 5. So first we had to log into pixton using Google and then we had to click on create comic strip. Our comic strip would be about Stan the Taxi Man, a very good taxi driver, that’s what I think! So first you could name it, and then you could go and start. So first you have to choose your background, I chose one with a taxi in it! Next you can go and get Stan the Taxi Driver, actually you can’t get it but you can make it, so go into characters and custom and then click create character. So the first step is to choose the gender, I clicked on Male and then you have to choose skin colour, hair colour and then hair, and costume and so on. So next I put him on the panel, after that I had to repeat the same process for Alexa and Tom. Once they are both created, you can position them and adjust where they are. You can put them into different poses or whatever, but next you should start writing the words, it’s very fun to do! Each time you write a new sentence you should add a new panel, in each panel you can change the background to where ever the story is set.
I really enjoyed this task and had lot’s of fun doing it. I was very excited at the start because it was pixton but when I used it, I had some trouble using it. Each time I wrote something, it wouldn’t load and then I had to delete the tab and get the tab back and see if it works again. But then something cool happened, it had stopped loading again and then the teacher, Whaea Annie came and looked at it, and when she looked at it it worked again, it was like this cool super power (👈 Cool!!). Anyway I had tons of fun doing this and I hope you like this task as much as I like it!

Create Task 2
So for this task we are going to do a summary, so this summary is on chapter 17 and I think I really like writing. So I really like this task. So first you can create a doc and then you can name it and move it into your reading folder! So next you can start writing your summary, a summary is a very short paragraph telling you what happens. You don’t want to write too much words or else its not really a summary, so yep, I really like writing and I hope you like my task!
So I really enjoyed this task, but not really writing the summaries, I always end up writing summaries way to big and then it’s always not really a summary, Anyway I tried my best to make this shorter. (Wish I could write longer!) Anyway I hope you enjoy reading this very short summary!

Hey bloggers today for maths we had to make a Google Drawing of factors. We had to answer five questions but we also had to put all possible answers in the Google Drawing, the tasks were very fun and I really enjoyed it, I think I really really did a Good Job. Even the teacher. I really really had fun, Anyway I forgot to tell you the Walt, here is Walt. Find all factors of a given number.

Hey bloggers this week for reading we are continuing novel studies. This week we had to read up to chapter 14. So the first task we had to do was some word work, for this work we had to go and answer some questions, the questions were to write three things that were important about chapter 10, I chose Ahmet getting very, very popular, Brendan the bully getting very scared of Ahmet, and then Brendan the bully getting revenge. Another task on the word work was to make a Word Glossary on word cloud, this was a very fun thing to do, and very fun. We first had to go onto this Word Cloud app and then choose a shape and then add words to it, this was a very fun thing to do and I really enjoyed it. I will show you mine after I tell you the last Word Work task. The next Word Work task was to make a blogging plan. So for this blogging plan we had to go and create a Google Drawing and chose one of the three plans to use. So the main character Alexa, has three friends and all those friends have come up with plans, I chose Tom. Tom’s plan was to ask the prime minister to open the gates. Anyway we can insert the plan into the Google Drawing by taking a photo of it with a camera and then crop it. Once you insert it you can add a comment on it. You can tell them something Good about it and then tell them something they can improve on. This was very fun and it was very easy to do. I liked adding the comment and making the background and the colours. Anyway those were all the tasks for the word work, I will now show you them and then I will move on to the actual create tasks!
So First was the Word Work task, the shape I chose was an Alligator and I added ten words into it, it was one of the easiest tasks, I had very fun doing it. Here is my Word Cloud Alligator.
Next was the Blogging plan, so I chose Tom and Had very fun making the comment, it was a very fun and easy task over all. Here is my Blogging Plan for Tom.
Create Task 1
So for the first task we had to create a summary of chapter fourteen, I chose to do this on a Google Doc because it would probably be the easiest thing to do the summary on. So first I added the title and then I moved it to the reading folder in my drive. After that I Added the Title on the Doc and then Chose a font and then bolded and underlined it, after that I started to write the summary, I wrote it very long, at around three hundred words but had very fun doing it. The font I chose was Comic Sans because it is one of my favourite fonts and it is very easy to read, and isn’t that fancy. Anyway after that I went to the next task.
I really had fun and put a lot of effort into this task, I put most of my effort into making it a very good quality summary. I do think it’s a good summary because it is very detailed and specific. Anyway I really enjoyed doing this task because of how fun and easy it was, and also I had very fun doing it because I think it was one of my best tasks this week. Anyway here is my task I hope you like it and don’t forget to read it!
Create Task 2
For this final task we have to do a task called plan B, it’s a task where we have to create two plans to help Alexa help Ahmet. Anyway I did this on a Google Drawing and had fun doing it, for one plan I made a lost poster and added a task.

Hello bloggers today I am going to tell you a retell of trying a new thing task we did on Tuesday! So I chose Sudoku, so Sudoku is a puzzle nine by nine squares. It’s a very easy and fun game, you have to try and work out what numbers you have to put into the squares, it was very fun, you should try playing Sudoku!

Hey bloggers, today we are doing some instructional writing. This is where you make a piece of writing with instructions on it, and use the instructions to make something, this could be a recipe to make something or instructions to build something. So for this task the Walt is Identifying the features and purposes of instructional writing. So for this task we had to sort out a few instructions and put them into the Good and Bad instruction Category. I will show you mine but first I will tell you what makes a Good instruction and what makes a bad instruction.
To make a good instruction you have to really make it really easy to understand, so say you were making a jam sandwich instruction (which we were sorting out) you would say to like to spread the jam finely, you wouldn’t be saying spread jam. So to make a Good Instruction you have to really use words people will understand. Also Good Instructions are also very specific and easy to read.
A bad Instruction would be to use a short use of words, it would also be really hard to understand and might not be readable by younger kids. It will be best to do a good set of instruction if you want to make it really easy to read and make it very specific, so doing a Good instruction is the best way to go!
